Introduction to Theory & Meditation Practice
If you're into meditation or in need of a little zen in your life this is a great class to take if you want to learn or practice the one of many different ways of meditation. This class goes into depth of learning and understanding your body, getting to practice forms of meditation and being able to apply these to your real life and daily uses. I personally believe if we are able to practice these methods we can achieve a tiny amount of happiness in our lives.
This was one of my favorite assignments I was able to do in this course, I am a dancer so it reflects my basic knowledge about exercise, I even included a little video link of me dancing to show how important it is to use cardio and strength when you dance. I believe in promoting good health and it not only makes your body healthy but it makes your mentality and mind get put in a healthier mindset.

Though the e portfolio assignment talks about exercise and all the other basic elements to leading a very healthy life, I believe that not only will meditating and practicing even the simplest things but it will bring great karma and prosperity into your lives. When entering this course as a college freshman I did not know what to expect, I thought we would just sit there and hum or just sit there listening to guided meditations but its just so much more than that. In this class we explored so many different types of meditations like walking, body scans, sitting, etc. We even practiced yoga poses, this class truly teaches the meaning of what it means to realize your human thoughts and emotions and it is okay to feel and think the way you feel.

Finding Your Spirituality
As a human being you are meant to grow like a flower seed being blossomed into something beautiful, Like fall and spring, you are born into this world as something unique, something extraordinary, you get to live out your days as a human being, the feeling to experience sights, sounds, tastes, feelings that nobody but you gets to experience is such a beautiful taste to life. Come fall your life begins to fade but once you die out from this world your soul continues to live on, once the springtime is ready for you, you get to be reborn into this world as a new person and get to keep the cycle of life flowing.

It is okay to discover yourself in this small but big world, you have so much time and potential just don't let it all go to waste. When I entered this course I had little experience and I felt like I wasn't as connected with my mind or body. It's almost as if my body wasn't in tune with the universe, when reading the class assigned book I loved the many forms of meditation practice and mine was lake meditation. I have always had an excellent mindset on making sure to maintain my body health but I never got the chance to feel human again through this, so I am grateful for this course. It is important to make sure you are in a mindful state with your body and mentality.
